Nutritionist Nurse Priscilla Prevost, has appealed for Nutritional Education to be incorporated in the school’s curriculum.
Prevost says agriculture, health, and education stakeholders should take a collaborative approach to ensure food and nutrition security.
The nutritionist is concerned that Dominicans have abandoned their indigenous cuisine and ground supplies as staples in their diets.
Prevost, who has a Masters’ Degree in Public Health from the University of Liverpool, advocating for better nutrition should consider making food affordable.
She spoke at the World Food Day Panel Discussion on the topic of “Better Nutrition.”
