Dominica’s Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit on Sunday confirmed that LIAT shareholders had taken a decision to liquidate the company.
Following a shareholder’s meeting at the weekend, Antigua Prime Minister Gaston Browne announced that a new entity will be formed.
Prime Minister Skerrit told his Anou Palay programme shareholder countries will hold follow up discussions to determine the way forward for the regional air carrier.
Shareholders of LIAT are Barbados, Antigua & Barbuda and St. Vincent and the Grenadines along with Dominica.
