Sam Raphael, owner of Jungle Bay Resort hosted, along with the National Bank of Dominica a stakeholder’s consultation meeting, regarding the possibility of expanding their businesses to supply the Jungle Bay Resort with their services.
According to Mr. Raphael, the meeting was held with the intent to inform stakeholders and other small business owners of ways to obtain financing to grow their businesses.
Over 50 stakeholders were represented at this consultation with range of interests such as fisher-folk, farmers and dive operators to name a few.
The National Bank of Dominica was represented by the Managing Director and many other top banking officials who co hosted the consultation with Mr Sam Raphael.
Meanwhile the Jungle Bay Resort Constructions are nearing end of phase one, with an expected re-open date of June 1st 2019. Sam Raphael confirmed that currently the team is working on landscaping which presents challenges as currently Dominica is experiencing a slight drought.
As of June 1st, most services will be available at the Jungle Bay Resort such as Yoga, Spas and Restaurant services along with usual services offered at the old Jungle Bay Resort.
Raphael also revealed plans of a zip line from the Jungle Bay Resort to the Sulphur Springs which would be a major attraction to tourist and locals alike.
