Joseph Issac Requests Independent Seat at House of Parliament

Parliamentary representative for the Roseau Central Constituency Joseph Isaac says now that he has resigned from the United Workers Party and has chosen to run as an independent candidate and will ask the Speaker of the House of Assembly for an independent space when the Parliament convenes.

He said he will be free to vote for and against policies of the government, consistent with his philosophical beliefs and impact of such policies under the people that he serves.

Mr. Isaac made the statement during an address to the media and broadcast live on radio following his resignation from the United Workers Party on Wednesday April 4th

Isaac says it is his hope that there can be a “One Dominica”

Isaac resigned from the United workers party after consistently expressing his dissatisfaction in the manner in which the party operates and opposes the development of the country.
