New Job Opportunities In Portsmouth Constituency

The North of the island is currently experiencing an employment boom, due largely to ongoing hotel projects in the area.

Parliamentary Representative for the Portsmouth Constituency Ian Douglas says there are job opportunities for all who wish to work in the area.

“There is tremendous employment opportunity… Not only on the construction of those apartments,” he said. “And, in addition to that, we have all of the various homes being repaired and renovated, and roofs being replaced.”

Douglas says residents can also look forward to the construction of new health facilities.

“…the expansion of the Portsmouth Hospital… is to come, and the Health Centre… is to built, and in a different location for a number of different reasons. These are some of the kind of cutting- edge, ground- breaking initiatives that will come to this area,” he said.
