IsraAID, Ministry of Education & UNICEF – Teachers Training Workshop

IsraAID in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and UNICEF has embarked on training for teachers in the Safe Schools/Disaster Risk Management Strategy. 

The training is being funded by European Union Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid. 

Education Programme Manager for the Disaster Management Programme Karin Lagziel said students will play an active role in determining the various hazards within their schools. 

The workshop is being undertaken at the Garraway Hotel.

Meantime, Lagziel said the implementation of school drills will also be part of the programme as a means of getting prepared in the event of a disaster.
