IRC Preparing For A New Tariff Rate Review Of DOMLEC
The Independent Regulatory Commission is preparing to begin its Tariff Rate Review of the Dominica Electricity Services Ltd. (DOMLEC) as part of its goal to regulate the Dominica electricity industry under the Electricity Supply Act of 2006.
In 2010, the IRC established a tariff regime for DOMLEC, where a tariff review exercise is done every three years to guarantee DOMLEC is attaining its revenue requirements.

Meanwhile, Executive Director, Justin Kase has admitted it would be advantageous for DOMLEC to be bought over by government in the short term, however should be re transferred to a private entity in the long term for efficiency.
