IRC Invites Public Members To Serve On Its Consumer Relations Committee
The Independent Regulatory Commission (IRC) is seeking members’ of public to serve on its Consumer Relations Committee (CRC).
The Commission asked interested persons to apply last year, but not every parish was represented in the pool of applications received. As a result, the executive director has decided to reopen the application process and increase the number of members from five to 10.
Communications Specialist Edona Jno Baptiste says the IRC understands that electricity consumers should be free to speak up about issues affecting them in the electrical sector and provide comments on how to improve their power service.
She stated members should ideally have some expertise of business and electrical technology.
