A week of activities got underway on today Monday in observance of International Day of Radiology on Tuesday.
During the week, special focus will be placed on continuing education for staff and the wider public, client appreciation, and technological advancements made in the field of imaging.
Coordinator of the Diagnostic Imaging Department of the Dominica China Friendship Hospital, Genise Pascal-Ferrer Iglesias says the week of activities is geared at raising greater awareness among the public.
Mrs. Ferrer Iglesias says the DCFH’s Imaging Department, commonly known as the Radiology or X-ray department, has seen several advancements over the years.
The week of activities, which ends on Friday 11th November, is being held under the theme: Radiologists and Radiographers Supporting Patients.
