Businesses will now be allowed to open from 6:00am to 9:00pm Monday to Saturday and from 6:00am to 6:00pm on Sundays.
The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting on Sunday.
Other amendments to the Environmental Health Services (Covid-19)
Regulations SR&O 26 of 2021 include the opening of Gas stations from 6:00am to 9:00pm daily.
A release from the Cabinet Secretariat says government officials have met with church leaders and discussions about in-person services are ongoing. In the meantime however, the number of persons allowed to attend church services weddings and funerals have increased to 25.
The reopening of gyms, bars, gaming establishments and in-dining at restaurants is currently under review.
The release says protocols are being finalized and will be communicated to the public this week.
