Haitian Friendship Association has issued a call for Dominica and CARICOM
The Dominica Haitian friendship Association has issued a call for Dominica and CARICOM to make a greater effort at helping to resolve the political conflict in the creole-speaking country which has been ongoing for several years now.
The call comes on the heels of the assassination of the president of Haiti in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Vice president of the association, Lounvesky Marceus (Lovinsky) says it’s a very sad day for Haitians in Dominica.
Marceus says although many Haitians would have loved to return home, their employment situation in Dominica and other circumstances make it very difficult for them to leave.
