Guyana will receive at least 104,000 doses of the Oxford-AstraZeneca COVID vaccine through the World Health Organization’s COVAX facility.
Guyana’s Health Minister Dr. Frank Anthony, who made the announcement Monday, said the doses are higher than was anticipated, but they are prepared to receive the vaccinnes.
Frontline health care workers will be among the first people to receive the vaccine followed by the elderly and people with co-morbidities.
