Grade Six National Assessments Postponed To June 2022
The Grade six national assessments have been pushed back to June 23 and 24, 2022.
Minister for Education Octavia Alfred says the decision to postpone the exams came as a result of the late start to the school year due to the covid-19 pandemic.
She noted, the new dates will allow students to receive additional academic support from their respective schools as students are now able to engage in face-to-face learning.
Students will be assessed in areas of language arts, mathematics, science and social science.
Minister Alfred states, while the Language, Math and Science papers will be conducted as written exams, the Social Science exam will be conducted as an e-paper which will determine the way forward for future assessments.
