Government to strengthen policy to help decrease migration post disaster

Dominica is aiming to strengthen its policies to decrease migration following disaster.

That’s according to Francine Baron, Interim CEO of the Climate Resilience Execution Agency for Dominica (CREAD), who spoke on behalf of Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit at the Launch of the IOM-OECS project on Human Mobility & Climate Change.

Baron says a number of initiatives have been launched to minimize the impact of disaster and the corresponding need of people to migrate.
