Government To Host One Of The Largest Consultations In The Agriculture Sector On Wednesday
Government is set to gather stakeholders from a wide cross section of society including the financial institutions, youth and women in agriculture, farmers, fisherfolks, restaurants and hotels, Hucksters, livestock farmers, and vets for a consultation to chart the way forward for the agricultural sector.
According to Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, the importation of some vegetables can be reduced or eliminated completely as these can be grown locally year round.
Mr. Skerrit says this initiative is meant to help improve and increase cruise arrivals and sell some of what is produced locally to these tourists
