Government to hold remembrance activity on the 3rd anniversary of Hurricane Maria
Plans are being finalized for a ceremony to observe the 3rd anniversary of the passage of Hurricane Maria on Thursday.
Government is said to be organizing an hour-long virtual prayer and worship session to mark the day.
Hurricane Maria devastated the island on September 17, 2017 leaving over 60 dead and extensive damage to virtually every productive sector, as well as to the country’s housing stock.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit said Sunday he would recommend a praise event as part of the observance.
