Government Settles Outstanding Salaries For Police Officers

police officers with respect to outstanding salary negotiations.

The monies are in relation to 2018/2019, as part of negotiations for the 2018 to 2021 triennium.

President of the Police Welfare Association Corporal Jefferson Drigo says a 1.5 percent salary increase for 2019/2020 was paid before that. For 2020/2021, police did not receive a salary increase.

Corporal Jefferson Drigo says the payment signals the Government’s recognition of police officers’ hard work.

Now that this matter is settled, Drigo expects the next round of negotiations could begin in 2022.
