Government Reviews Building Regulations For Resilience
Climate change has had severe impacts on Dominica’s infrastructure exposing the island’s vulnerabilities. An assessment of Dominica’s vulnerabilities was conducted resulting on government’s decision to review the island’s building code.
According to Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, Government has reviewed Dominica’s building code and approved the building regulations for 2022 to ensure resilience against future disasters.

Meantime, Minister for Planning, Climate Resilience, and Sustainable Development Dr. Vince Henderson explained, the new code acts as an instruction manual for future structures setting the standard for resilient construction in Dominica.
