Government Procures Additional Education Devices Amounting $1.3 Million US Dollars
The Ministry of Education has acquired 8,000 tablets for distribution amounting to US$1.3 million.
The Ministry of the Digital Economy and the Ministry of Education hosted a handing over ceremony, where devices were donated to students of the St Martin’s Primary, St Mary’s Primary, and the Convent Preparatory Schools This was done with the help of Global Partnership for Education.

To date, over two thousand primary school students have received learning devices from Government’s recent device distribution programme.
Meantime, Honorable Minister for Education Octavia Alfred has commended teachers for adapting to virtual learning. She also spoke on the prospects of returning to face-to-face classes.
