Government Presents Resolutions While Opposition Calls For Transparency

An Eighty-one-million-dollar credit loan facility from the International Development Association for funding Dominica’s covid-19 pandemic response and recovery was presented before parliament on Monday.

This is the first of two resolutions to be presented seeking approval to borrow from the World Bank for funding Dominica’s action plans to build resilience.

Meantime, Opposition senator Francisca Joseph says while the opposition will support facilities to support the island there is need for further transparency to ensure responsible allocation of funds.

However, Minister for Climate Resilience, and Sustainable Development, Dr. Vince Henderson in responding to the call for transparency further went on to lend his support to approve the resolution.
