Government of Dominica announces easing of COVID19 related restrictions
The Government of Dominica on Wednesday announced the lifting of restrictions on additional business activities to include appliance and clothing stores.
However, a full lockdown remains in effect on Sundays and the curfew is in effect from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily.
Health Minister Dr. Irving Mc Intyre said the easing of restrictions come as Dominica is now at zero level of transmission of COVID-19 and has the capacity to handle potential new cases.
Dominica’s COVID-19 count stands at 16 with 2 active cases.
Dr. Mc Intyre said, additionally, visits to beaches and rivers are now permissible.
Dr. Mc Intyre said some businesses including bars are to remain closed pending a review on May 11.
