The Government of Dominica on Wednesday announced the lifting of restrictions on additional business activities to include appliance and clothing stores.
However, a full lockdown remains in effect on Sundays and the curfew is in effect from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. daily.
Health Minister Dr. Irving Mc Intyre said the easing of restrictions come as Dominica is now at zero level of transmission of COVID-19 and has the capacity to handle potential new cases.
Dominica’s COVID-19 count stands at 16 with 2 active cases.
Dr. Mc Intyre said, additionally, visits to beaches and rivers are now permissible.
Dr. Mc Intyre said some businesses including bars are to remain closed pending a review on May 11.
Schools also remain closed.
