Government Launches Third Cohort of Work Online Dominica
The Government of Dominica in partnership with IsraAID, UNDP and the Dominica State College, held a virtual launch of Work Online Dominica Cohort 3, to officially kick off this program for 2022.
The goal of this initiative is to teach persons between the ages of 18 to 45 how to get started working online, find new sources of income and increase their financial stability.
Minister for Public Works and the Digital Economy Cassani Laville says, over a 12-week course, 60 participants will be exposed and trained on a roadmap for an alternative pathway of generating income, by leveraging and building their skills to find online gigs and become freelancers.
According to Laville, Work Online Dominica is a testament to the government’s commitment to embracing technology on the island and empowering citizens to do the same.
