Government Launches New Disaster Risk Management Programme Geared At Children With Special Needs

The ministry of Youth Development and Empowerment, Youth at Risk, Gender Affairs, Seniors’ Security and Dominicans with Disabilities has collaborated with IsraAid Dominica to launch a new disaster risk and preparedness programme dubbed “Safe schools, resilient communities for inclusive disaster risk reduction”. The programme is expected to run until October of 2022.

Minister for Youth Development and Empowerment, Youth at Risk, and Dominicans with Disabilities Dr. Adis King says the project is geared at children with special needs to ensure their inclusion in disaster risk management plans.
