Government Invest1.5 Million Dollars In Macaton Road For Grandbay Farmers

Farmers in the Grand Bay Constituency can now breathe a sense of hope and confidence as work works continue on the Macaton/Mopo Farm Access Roads in that area

Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Roosevelt Skerrit paid a visit to area last week. He said the quality of the intervention is excellent as it will improve farmer’s yield.

He says the bigger intervention is the utilization of funds from the European union of 1.5 million dollars for the Macaton Road.

Mister Skerrit says the contractor and the Public Works Corporation are finalizing the legal processes and are putting the necessary documentation in place to move to Macaton.

According to him, this is a major investment in Grandbay.

The Prime Minster says agriculture will remain priority for his government. He has pledged his continued support to farmers throughout the island
