Parliamentary representative for the Mahaut Constituency Hon. Rayburn Blackmore said government has put special measures in places to speed up the process and assist the people of that constituency in replacing their roofs.
He said government has hired competent contractors who will be handling the re-roofing project for most of the residents as it would not make sense to give residents the materials and they don’t have the money to pay these contractors.
He said there will be proper accountability as the project is being undertaken. Government has also out in place an overall coordinator for the project.
Mr. Blackmore says credit must be given to the Prime Minster Roosevelt Skerrit and his commitment to the people of Dominica during a crisis period.
