Effective May 13, all outstanding fees were wiped out.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit announced on Monday that education at the DSC is now free.
Mr. Skerrit said in turn students will have to volunteer service within the community.
The DSC, he says, will offer technical and vocational courses to prepare citizens for work here and in the region; and will introduce night classes for working people.
Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dominica State College Ian Lambert has welcomed the decision by Government to abolish tuition fees at the DSC.
