Government creates new opportunities for furniture makers
Government is providing new opportunities under its housing programme for local furniture makers.
Government officials met furniture manufacturers at the Windsor Park Stadium on Thursday.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit said local manufacturers will now be engaged to build furniture for Government-built homes as well as for schools.
Mr. Skerrit has advised the furniture manufacturers to organize themselves into an association.
Meantime Project Manager for Montreal Management Consultants, Chris Timmins told the furniture makers there is scope for much work as housing construction continues.
He impressed on the furniture makers the need to provide quality.
