Government considers increasing penalties for persons facilitating illegal migration

Government is considering increasing penalties for the illegal transportation of persons which leads to illegal entry to Dominica.

That’s according to Minister for National Security Rayburn Blackmoore, who says Dominica’s laws currently make provisions for persons who facilitate illegal migration here to face up to 7 years in prison.

Blackmoore says compulsory imprisonment is also being considered.

    Yes they should the laws need to be in force
    I agree to the 7 year for illegal transporting in dominica
    It our country and we have laws so they have to go by the law
    Nobody is over the law! Period?!
