Government completes negotiations with 95 property owners for land to construct an international airport
Government has completed negotiations with 95 property owners to acquire land for construction of the international airport.
411 acres of land will be allocated to construct the international airport in the Wesley, Woodfordhill, Palm Tree area.
Senior Property Valuer Bernard Lloyd, a guest on Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit’s Anou Palay programme on Sunday, said negotiations are ongoing with property owners.
Lloyd said among challenges faced in acquiring the properties is the emotional attachment of people to their properties as well as doubt that the airport project will come to fruition.
