Government announces new fiscal measures-duty free concessions on Christmas barrels and an extension of a tax amnesty
Government on Tuesday announced an extension of the tax amnesty until January 31st 2021.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit had announced an extension from August 1st to November 30th 2020, waiving interest and penalties on income tax, withholding tax, excise tax and value added tax.
Trade Minister Ian Douglas announced the extension.
Meantime Government has announced duty free concessions on barrels for Christmas.
Minister Gretta Roberts said the measure took effect from December 1.
