Shelter manager and local government commissioner Glenroy Toussaint is reminding the general public – particularly persons who would require moving to hurricane shelters this hurricane season – that covid 19 protocols are still in effect at hurricane shelters.
He says the same laws that apply to the state will be applied at the shelters.
Mr. Toussaint maintains no illegal substance including alcohol and weapo9ns of any kind will be allowed at the shelters.
The local government commissioner says there is a capacity of 8200 to cater for less than 4 thousand people and that is a great improvement in term of shelters for the season.
