Geotechnical Studies for International Airport to get underway by August

Geotechnical studies for the construction of an international airport for Dominica could be complete by September.

That’s the word from Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit, who said on Kairi’s Heng Tuesday, that the International Airport project is a prime focus for his government.

The Prime Minister says Geotechnical studies for the airport’s construction, which have been hindered by global travel restrictions, may begin as soon as August this year.

Prime Minister Skerrit said payments to landowners in the Wesley area should be made from next week.
