Formal contract signed for refurbishment of former Londonderry Tissue Factory
The Ministry of Blue and Green Economy, Agriculture and National Food Security has entered into a formal contract with STEWCO CONSTRUCTION COMPANY Ltd, for the refurbishment of the former Londonderry Tissue Facility.
The contract also accounts for the creation of office space and a training facility for the North East Agricultural Region staff and the farmers they serve.

The project, valued at over three hundred thousand dollars, falls under the Dominica Emergency Agricultural Livelihoods and Climate Resilience Project (ERLCAP), funded by the Government of Dominica through the World Bank.
Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture Dr. Kyra Paul says the works fall in line with the country’s climate resilience thrust.
Dr. Paul says the Ministry is focused on providing extended services to farmers and officials of the Ministry alike.
