Finance Minister Expects New Daily Flights To Yield Significant Economic Benefits For Dominica
American airlines has kept to its commitment and has begun international flight to the island of Dominica effective April 4th and Prime Minister of Dominica Roosevelt Skerrit has welcomed the move by the airline.
American Airlines on December 8th last year announced that direct flights from Miami to Dominica will begin on December 8th 2021.
This announcement came after a proven flight landed in Dominica on Tuesday June 22 2021.
Prime Minister Skerrit says the arrangement was to introduce two flights weekly in December but in January the airline announced three flights weekly and then shortly after announced daily flights to the island
The prime minister says this has made life so much easier for Dominica and visitor to do business on the same day and return shortly after
Mr. Skerrit says in a matter of time Dominicans will see the positive impact that the international airport will have on Dominica
