200 underprivileged children here have received toys for Christmas from the Florida Caribbean Cruise Association (FCCA).
The FCCA held Christmas Toys donation ceremony on Tuesday in collaboration with the Discover Dominica Authority, the Ministry of Tourism and Culture, the West Dominica Children’s Federation, HHV Whitchurch and Company, and the Dominica Air and Sea Port Authority.
This donation is one of 15 to take place across Latin America and the Caribbean, and Dominica has benefitted from this initiative for over 20 years.
Director of the Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) Colin Piper thanked the FCCA for its continued efforts in Dominica and says the DDA is pleased to be a part of this initiative.
Meantime, the marketing manager at Whitchurch, Michelle Joseph, encouraged more organisations to give back to society.
The West Dominica Children’s Federation also expressed gratitude to the FCCA, and highlighted some schools which were chosen to participate.
