Farmers Benefit As Government Advances Farm Access Road Restoration
The Government of the Commonwealth of Dominica has begun the restoration of feeder roads in all seven agricultural regions, inclusive of the Macaton Road in Grandbay using grant funding from the European Union Development Fund.
Contracts for rehabilitation works totaling over EC$9million have been granted and signed to begin works across the island, including Castle Bruce, Calibishie, and Morne Rachette Heights.
Senior engineer at the ministry of public works and digital economy, Larry Alcendor says the development of the Macaton road is very important in the development of the agricultural sector.
