Education Minister Believes Newly Refurbished Schools Will Present New Opportunities For Communities
Government officially commissioned the Wills Strathmore Stevens Primary school in Marigot on Friday as part of a $7 million Canadian government grant to rebuild five schools on the island destroyed by Hurricane Maria.
The over 2-million-dollar facility features a new roof, main classroom block, library/computer lab and auditorium. This is also in addition to a guidance counselling room, kitchen, cafeteria and washrooms, as well as a new Early Childhood Facility.

Meantime, Parliamentary representative for the Marigot constituency Lennox Linton welcomed the newly refurbished facility and expressed his hope the new structure will inspire the community to pursue higher education in the advancement of the community.
