DSWMC – Proper Waste Disposal at Fondcole Landfill

The Dominica soldwaste management cooperation is cautioning persons transporting materials to the landfilled that they will not be allowed to enter if their garbage is not covered.

The cooperation is also advising the general public to make use of tyres and avoid taking them to the Landfiell on Thursdays

Public Relations officer Jeno Jacob says the tyres can be used in several ways to help beautiful the environment as we build back better

Jacob says while he understand that old tyres are shredded in hug countries and used for repairing roads and at playing fields this is not the case in Dominica and therefore its left to us as people to decide to utilize the old tyre to beautify our surrounding.

Jacob says it is his hope that Dominica can explore the other uses such as shredding of tyre for asphalt and for use on playing field s in the future.
