Dr. Sam Christian Returns Home

Medical doctor turned politician, Dr. Sam Christian returned home to fanfare on Saturday from Martinique where he had been seeking medical treatment.

Last year, Dr. Christian sustained an injury to his pelvis during a freak accident while entering a vehicle.

At a welcome ceremony organized by his party supporters, he thanked those who had facilitated his treatment in Martinique.

“It’s a time of celebration of national unity because its not just one set of people, i think i got love and support of lots of different people across the spectrum and we want to continue in that mode as much as possible.”

Dr. Christian was airlifted to Martinique in November following the intervention of Cecil Joseph and the Government of Dominica.

Prior to his accident he was the declared United Workers Party candidate for the Soufriere constituency, but reports are that he will no longer contest the seat.
