Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Agriculture Dr. Reginald Thomas refutes claims that the ministry intentionally left out farmers under the World Bank aid programme.
Dr. Thomas explained that two rounds of cheque-disbursements had to be undertaken as all the cheques issued to farmers were not claimed.
He mistakes were made and efforts are being made to address them.
Meantime, Dr. Thomas said that the ministry is also challenged with additional challenges with cheque distribution, particularly those cheques with misspelled names.
