Dominica’s Ministry of Education has lodged official complaints with the Caribbean Examination Council (CXC) regarding regional examination results.
Grade results for CAPE and CSEC regional exams were released last Tuesday, and a number of education officials and ministries across the region expressed concern over inconsistencies.
Last Friday, Regional CXC Registrar Dr. Wayne Wesley defended the body’s grading system and assured students quality assurance was executed.
In Dominica, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education Chandler Hyacinth says a number of concerning issues were found, and work has begun with CXC to address possible inconsistencies.
Hyacinth encouraged students to also file official complaints regarding results to the Regional Examination Body.
