Dominica is still in a crisis mode.
National Security minister Rayburn Blackmore says the government of Dominica will continue to remain resolute in its quest to further develop the country particularly as the island approaches a new hurricane season
Mister Blackmore says with so many people still living in houses covered with tarpaulins the only way the country can move forward at this time is if everyone comestogether to in the rebuilding process
He says Dominica is still in a crisis mode and if we allow ourselves to be distracted by critics or persons who have no interest in Dominica’s development then the progress of the country will be even slower.
Mister Blackmore says an evaluation has been done in the Mahaut constituency to begin the process of recovery utilizing the talent of skilled worker from contractors to equipment operators and carpenters to assist the most vulnerable.
Mister Blackmore says effort are being made to make use of the excavated material to back-fill certain areas from rockaway back to Massacre. This he believes will help protect the coastal areas.
