Dominica Red Cross releases music video featuring Carlyn XP

The Dominica Red Cross has released a music video to remind citizens here and returning nationals to remain safe and observe Health Guidelines for the Coronavirus.

The Video was released on July 27th, and features Dominican Bouyon Artist Carlyn XP.

The Red Cross said it is requesting that citizens not let their guard down as the country’s borders reopened to returning nationals.

President of the Dominica Red Cross Reginald Winston urged persons to guard against complacency.

Government has reached an agreement to conduct an Environmental Impact Assessment ahead of construction of the International Airport.

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit spoke to the media on Monday during a site visit to Joe Burton where construction has begun on 37 homes for relocation of displaced Wesley residents.

Mr. Skerrit said Government is seeking to use the services of local experts.

Meantime Prime Minister Skerrit said an agreement could be finalized soon for the construction of the international airport.

Ainsworth Irish plans to push for better relations between Police and Citizens

New Consultant for Dominica’s Community Policing Programme Ainsworth Irish plans to push for better relations between police and citizens within his new post.

Irish is a former Superintendent of Police, and is President of a center for disabled children, as well as a member of the Dominica Council on ageing.

He said he has experience in the field, and stressed positive police/citizen relations for crime reduction.

Irish says he will also push for greater communication between communities and Police Officers and plans to revive Neighborhood Watches.
