Dominica records two new cases of COVID-19

Dominica this week recorded two new cases of COVID 19, among the two a 14 year old male.

Dr. Shalludin Ahmed is National Epidemiologist.

Dr. Ahmed told the press briefing on Wednesday COVID management is progressing well.

A new round of community testing starts next week.

THE LATE WYCLIFFE CULZAC BETTER KNOWN AS SMALL CHEF, CUMMA CAN BE VIEWED AT THE BETHESDA METHODIST CHURCH IN ROSEAU AT 1:30PM AND FUNERAL MASS AT 2:30PM ON JANAURY 18TH 2021. INTERMENT WILL FOLLOW AT THE ROSEAU PUBLIC CEMETERY.

Dominica is not expected to welcome cruise visitors to the island this year.

Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says the cruise industry continues to be challenged and so Dominica is not poised to receive cruise visitors any time soon.

Mr. Skerrit says Dominica is meanwhile looking to grant yachting permission and a return to cruise tourism in 2022.
