Dominica records its first COVID-19 related death.
Dominica recorded its first COVID-19 related death on Tuesday. Health Minister, Dr. Irvin Mcyntire made the announcement.
The virus claimed the life of a 46-year-old woman who suffered from pre-existing conditions.
Dr McIntyre expressed condolences to the family of the deceased on behalf of the Government of Dominica.

Meantime, Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit says “the passing of the individual presents an opportunity for national reflection and reminds us of the need to practice all safety protocols recommended by the Ministry of Health to protect ourselves and the most vulnerable and at-risk among us.
He has extended condolences to the family of the deceased and pledged his support and that of his government in their bereavement.
In his statement released on Tuesday afternoon, Mr Skerrit said “we must all work together to prevent further spread of this disease to safeguard the collective health of our nation.”
