Dominica pauses today to remember the passage of Hurricane Maria which devastated the island on September 18, 2020.

Over 60 Dominicans were dead or missing following the passage of the Category Five hurricane which decimated the islands’ housing, agriculture and tourism sectors.

Since then Dominica has recorded a remarkable recovery with the housing and agriculture sectors rebounding with focused investments from Government.

Senior Minister Reginald Austrie who served as both Agriculture and Housing Minister during the past three years, says the country has excelled, especially with advancements in the housing sector.
