Dominica gears up as Corona Virus enters the Caribbean
Dominica’s Prime Minister has committed to adhere to international disease protocols in light of news that COVID- 19, better known as the Coronavirus, has reached the Caribbean.
Over the weekend, cases of the virus were confirmed in St. Martin and St. Barthelemy, and last week, Brazil confirmed its first case.
Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit told State- owned radio that Dominica relies on the guidance of the World Health Organization and the Pan- American Health Organization.
The Prime Minister highlighted the impact COVID-19 is having on World Economies, and cautioned citizens to stay away from information about the virus that lacks credibility.
