Dominica’s festival activities are making a grand return this year following a two-year absence due to the covid-19 pandemic.
Scheduled for May 1, Jazz N’ Creole is one of the first major activities to return following government’s decision to lift covid-19 restrictions on the island.
Permanent secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Lisa Valmond says the ministry of Tourism is expanding this year’s event into a weekend festival filled with entertainment activities.
World Creole Music Festival is also expected to be making a comeback this year.
The unique festival has been held for over twenty years for the enjoyment of patrons who enjoy music and performances from different Caribbean genres.
Valmond says plans are underway to determine the event lineup to grace this year’s stage.
