Since the onset of the current wave Dominated by the delta Variant the virus has reached a point of widespread transmission across the county.
He told a Covid-19 press briefing on Friday night that the virus continues to be the longest standing and most severe wave, straining the health system and resulting in unnecessary deaths and cases.
Dr. Burnet also took the opportunity at Friday’s press briefing to dispel some of the myths and rumors about the vaccine.

Meantime National Epidemiologist Dr Shallaudin Ahmed in giving an update on the case scenario from July 28th to December 2nd said the daily trend seem to fluctuate but in terms of weekly average its stable at 41.
