Dominica Association of Teachers (DAT) express disapproval of CSEC exams in July

President of the Dominica Association of Teachers (DAT) Mervin Alexander says some schools here are ready for CSEC exams in July while others are not.
The Caribbean Union of Teachers (CUT), of which the DAT is a part, this week addressed a letter to the Caribbean Examinations Council in Barbados stating their “vehement” disapproval of holding CSEC examinations in July.
The CUT said all regulations to ensure students health and safety were not considered.
In Dominica, Alexander says the Teacher’s Association held a meeting to determine Dominica’s stance on the matter, but nothing concrete has been decided, with some schools claiming readiness for the exam process.
